The Survivor Auction is a special Reward Challenge where the contestants are given money and able to bid on available items.
About[]
During a Survivor Auction, the contestants are each given an equal sum of money and are offered to bid on different items presented to them. The contestants have to outbid each other in order to receive the item. Some items may be left covered, and require the contestants to bid blindly in order to purchase it, which can result in the buyer receiving something undesirable.

Each of the contestants received $100 as their starting price. Bidding was in $5 increments, and if the buyer wanted to, they could pool money, or share the item with another contestant.

The contestants were given $500 as their starting price, and were not allowed to share their money or any items that they bought. Bidding was in $10 increments, and because Amy Randall and Greg had previously accepted to sit-out of two Reward Challenges, they did not participate in the auction.

Survivor Fan Characters: All-Stars[]
For the first time, the Survivor Auction took place during the merge phase. As such, there was a different set of rules. Duplicate items would be offered to the contestants, who each had to cast a ballot for the person on their tribe that they wanted to receive the item. The contestant who receives the most votes from both tribes would win the item. In case of a tie, the current holder of the Immunity Necklace would choose who from their tribe wins the item.

For the second time, the Survivor Auction took place before the merge, and had modified rules. Both tribes were given a budget of $500 and a list of items that each contestant could buy with some of the money. Additionally, the auction was also held in conjunction with the Immunity Challenge, with immunity being awarded to whichever tribe had more money at the end of the auction.
