Template:SeasonSurvivor Fan Characters 5: The Cursed Islands (SFC5), is the fifth season of Survivor Fan Characters. This season features four tribes of four that were divided up by the contestant who took the first curse. The first contestant eliminated would be replaced by this contestant. After the Day 7 challenge, the last placed team was dissolved. On Day 15, another team was dissolved by a rock draw. On Day 18, three Z'Baba members mutinied to Caposhir. It premiered on September 7, 2009. It ended with Marius winning in a 3-2-2 vote.
Twists/Changes
- Odd Numbered Cast: For the first, and so far only, time, there is an odd number of castaways.
- Four Tribes: For the first time in the series, the season began with four starting tribes.
- Curses: Throughout the season, curses are offered, the consequences of said curses can either benefit or hinder the games of the user or their competition.
- Exile Island: Exile Island returns, but only as a one-time twist.
- Tribe Absorption: Two tribal absorption occurred.
- Mutiny: For the first time in Survivor Fan Characters, mutiny was offered to any castaways who wanted to switch tribes.

- This is the only season of Survivor Fan Characters to have an odd number of castaways thus far with seventeen.
- This is the first, and so far only season to produce two Runners-Up, as both Gatemaster and Miranda received the same number of Jury votes at the Final Tribal Council, finishing behind Marius.
